05/1999 - Concept - Both inspired and frustrated by the original mp3.com, Gideon Marken begins the plan to launch a discussion board (ElectronicBBoard.com) and a music hosting service (ElectronicScene.com).

05/20/2000 - ElectronicBBoard.com Launched

01/01/2001 - 2000 ElectronicScene Music Awards (first music awards)

05/22/2001 - ElectronicScene.com Beta site Launched

08/01/2001 - ElectronicScene.com First Mp3 Stream

12/05/2001 - ElectronicScene.com 'Official Launch' - New Server - MediaServerSystem Version .5 - Now Accepting Members

01/01/2002 - 2001 ElectronicScene Music Awards

09/30/2002 - Site upgrade! MediaServerSystem V1.1 Launched

02/15/2003 - 2002 ElectronicScene Music Awards

* All paying memberships canceled

09/26/2004 - Join Form on ArtistServer & ElectronicScene reopened

10/26/2004 - Number of members climbing!

* Over 7,000 registered members

* 1,400+ new members since the join for was reopened 1 month before

12/31/2004 - Great Numbers for 2004!

04/01/2005 - over 1/4 million unique visitors for the first quarter of 2005

04/22/2005 - ElectronicScene folds into ArtistServer.com, all traffic is now pointed at ArtistServer

07/2005 - ArtistServer begins embracing Web 2.0 conecpts. Tags and tag clouds are now integrated into the site and the content. In addition, we have added support for Creative Common's licensing.

11/2005 - Launch of the new My Account area with an improved layout, new help system, a WYSIWYG editor, improved link generator and more.

11/2005 - Time Magazine lists ArtistServer as "One of the Top 20 Music Sites Online" http://www.time.com/time/2005/onlinemusic/4.html

12/6/2005 - ArtistJukebox is launched, this site provides a different interface and means to browse ArtistServer music

12/10/2005 - ArtistServer moves to a new colocation facility, adds another server, upgrades OS's, server software and the database

2/15/2006 - Account Upgrades made available again, first time since 5/2004

3/21/2006 -IndieMobile is launched, this site provides an easy interface for people to view and download the ringtones from ArtistServer
